The New 'Stealth' Caravan Launches 360º Panoramic Tours Online
WE'RE intrigued....!
Dunster House, a long established British company, is normally more well known for it's range of log cabins, summerhouses, climbing frames etc, but they have put out a press release which is very interesting.
They are to launch a brand new make of caravan, the 'Stealth' to compete against the mainstream brands. The 'Stealth' will be revealed at the NEC Motorhome & Caravan Show in October 2009.
They have also launched a black and mysterious looking website, containing just a few snippets of info about the fantastically named Stealth caravan.
WHAT they've told us so far....
The new 'Stealth X-Class' range of medium to large caravans (including a 2+1 Berth, 4+1 Berth and a 6 Berth) will bring a totally new perspective to high-end mainstream caravans. The Stealth X-Class Range will be available in 3 different trim levels: S, SE and SE-L.
Manufactured by a caravan owner who has designed the 'Stealth' to reduce the compromises that caravans place on the users. There will be revolutionary new layouts, contemporary interior finishes and exterior design. The interior will be in Matt 'Cream' veneer and SE and SE-L models will come with high gloss interior laminate.
Dunster House identified a brief that had to be achieved to bring the traditional caravan up to date, including:
* Exterior & layout: AL-KO Chassis with Hitch Stabiliser
* LED front and rear road lights
* 3D Aerodynamic Nose Cone - black nose cone to stop "yellowing"
* Class leading interior floor to ceiling heigh 6'5''

We say ... bring it on, we can't wait to see this caravan in the flesh.
Should certainly make some waves in the industry, with it's modern looks,
and clever design features.

Turn the heat up in your Stealth Caravan - Latest Release 07 July 2010
At Stealth Caravans, they know how important heating is in your Caravan, so
they have introduced some valuable systems to help your stay in the luxury
caravan a much more comfortable experience.
A powerful heater gives you the ability to control your environment - With a
high Maximum Output, you choose just how warm you want it, without having to
worry about the heater struggling to keep up. It is of great importance that
your caravan heats up quickly and at the touch of a button, that’s why Dunster
House’s Blown Air heating systems give you just that.
Dunster House know that a fireplace heater in a caravan can be a worry, not only
if there are small children and pets nearby, but it also takes up valuable space
that could be used more efficiently for so many other applications. That is why
all new Defiant caravan’s will be fitted with a Hidden Truma Combi 6E
Heater/Boiler with ‘Invisible’ blown air heating.
This hidden heating system has a 6KW max output, twice as powerful as a typical
Caravan Heater. The blown air system moves the heat to just where it is needed.
The system heats up quickly and the integrated system is hidden within the
caravan, providing rapid warmth without the need of a fireplace unit.
New and exciting changes to the current Stealth range, plus further
developments - released 23rd June 2010
Firstly, the Adjustments to
the Naming Structure for Stealth Caravans: When we first began, we decided to
order our naming convention like so:- For example - Stealth X58 SE-L. The X58
part of our name represented the layout of the caravan while the SE-L
represented the trim level. We would now like to announce that the three trim
levels: S, SE and SE-L will be replaced with three new ranges:
VALIANT- Affordable luxury touring. Anyone can enjoy a Stealth with the Valiant
range, which includes AL-KO AKS 3004 stabiliser for stable towing, double glazed
tinted windows, plus Flyscreens and Sunblinds fitted to all Windows and
skylights. Also fully bonded Wall, Floor and Roof panels and concealed warm air
heating system giving up to 4kW max heat output.
INTREPID - Top of the range Caravans to turn anyone's heads. With all of the
features of the Valiant range plus a 800W Microwave, automatic ignition fridge,
4 ring dual fuel hob and drop-in loose fit carpets, available in two different
colours.
DEFIANT - Super Luxury range of caravans with a specification to match.
Including AL-KO secure portable wheel locks, external gas barbeque point and
caravan tracking system, this is more than just caravanning, this is the luxury
holiday experience.
A new Stealth Caravan designation would be, for example, a Stealth Defiant X58.
By bringing our naming structure in line with other caravan manufacturers and
having the layout notations at the end of the caravan name, we believe that it
will be easier for our customers to make direct comparisons between our ranges
and other ranges on the market, thus making a better, more informed choice.
The New Stealth Q58
The New Stealth Q63
PHASE ONE of our exciting new endeavour is now complete. We are proud to produce
the UK's only 'Full End Island Bed and End Washroom' caravan. We have grabbed
the public's attention and provided a choice of layouts never previously seen on
the market. The attention and support that the caravan press has given us has
been invaluable. It is now time for us to announce to you, our much anticipated
PHASE TWO.
Introducing the New 'Stealth' Models:- PHASE TWO
We're proud to launch the next step for the Stealth caravan, the Q-Class. This
will include two completely new layouts including the Q58 (addition to the
single axle caravan range) and the Q63 (the large spacious twin axle). The 'End
Washroom, Side Bed Layout' will be popular with both families and couples and
uniquely, staying true to the Stealth philosophy, will feature a full square
mattress.
The New 'Stealth Q-Class Front Window The new 'Q-Class models will be the first
to feature a front window upon a Stealth
Caravan. Our unique Overseal Constructed nosecone for these caravans will be of
a new evolutionary design, allowing a window to bring a light and airy feel to
the front seating area, without allowing damp and moisture in.
Our 6 year water
ingress
guarantee will continue across the whole range, demonstrating our confidence in
the quality and integrity of our unique construction method.
The New 'Stealth' Caravan Launches 360º
Panoramic Tours Online - released 19/04/2010
After the success at the NEC Boat and Caravan Show in February, Dunster
House have launched a brand new 360 degree Panoramic Tour online to give
customers an alternative chance to view the Stealth.
NEC Boat and Caravan Show 2010 Update...
Record sales were taken over the weekend of the show, yet another assurance
to everyone that Stealth Caravans are here to stay...
The public were thrilled at their first opportunity to view the finished
production models. Customer comments were overwhelmingly positive, with the
quality and finish impressing everyone.
Two new options were unveiled as well. Grey carpets being offered as an
alternative to the Stealth's standard 'Biscuit' carpets as well as the new
grey Stealth nose cone. Both these options proved popular, with over 90% of
customers at the show taking advantage of the no cost upgrade and opting for
the grey carpets.
With queues once again extending off the stand, Dunster House tried their
hardest to ensure that anyone curious about the newest revolutionary
addition to the caravan industry got the chance to look, whilst also
ensuring that all of their customers had the chance to enjoy a Stealth as
well before signing on the dotted line.
The Stealth website turns 360º...
For those customers who are so keen that they can't wait to visit and see
the Stealth, there is now the option of viewing a Stealth caravan online
through a 360º Panoramic tour. They have a full screen option so you can
zoom in and feel at home in the Stealth before deciding to make that all
important purchase.
Dunster House, a successful long established British manufacturer has a
unique approach to selling. They not only do their own manufacturing, but
also sell direct to customers. This is no different for the Stealth Caravan
- the caravans will be sold direct to consumers via their own network of
sites. There is no need to use dealer networks as Dunster House have got a
dedicated manufacturing team, led by an industry expert and experienced
sales team that together provide the complete personal customer service.
Customers can now buy the new 'Stealth' through several different ways - you
can buy the caravan either by phone, go online or to ensure that you get the
full 'Stealth' experience and best deals available visit one of Dunster
House's multiple show sites around the UK.
“A panoramic tour is great,” Alex Murphy, Managing Director of Dunster House
writes, “It gives a great feeling of actually standing inside the 'Stealth'
and seeing just what it is that everyone is talking about!
Without a network of dealers, it can sometimes be hard for customers who in
particular live in out of the way locations to see our caravans. It is well
worth the trip to see us, even just for a coffee and a chat. But for those
who can't; our website is a great way to fall in love with Stealth.”
A unique nosecone on the Stealth is designed to prevent water forcing
it's way in during travel. A traditional caravan design has the join
between the nose and the roof on the front of the caravan and can be
subject to water penetration when driving. On the Stealth the
nosecone lips over the roof and thus water is taken away from this
area during travel. Also to combat the traditional problems of water
penetration our body design uses an unusual twin sealing technique.
We wanted to create a caravan that was far more modern looking. As a
result all the trims on Stealth are body-colour. White awning rails
and door frames make for a cleaner look to the sides of the van,
invisible fixings to the wheel arches mean no visible screw caps and
simple raised chrome lettering continue this theme.
Inside the fittings are metal for an elegant finish; Chrome metal
taps, chrome metal furniture handles and brushed chrome spotlights.
Night-time lighting is important so our rooflights have 4 recessed
lights each to give an abundance of luminance, the sink and the
cooker have individual lighting over each to enable you to see what
you're doing when preparing meals.
The alloy wheels on Stealth are all 15" in size helping to keep them
in proportion on the side of a large caravan. They are finished in
Hi-Power silver as this more costly finish give a superior shine to
normal painted wheels.
The basin in the bathroom is a raised clear bowl, whilst creating
more space on the adjoining counter it also adds an extra touch of
finesse to the washroom.
The seating does without the need for dated kneerolls. Instead using
a technique that gives the comfort of a kneeroll with the aesthetic
of a domestic sofa.
The microwave is a full 800w, touch-control version to allow total
control and full domestic capability. (SE & SE-L models)
The roof is bonded like the walls to prevent the ripple effect that
some caravan rooves can display.
The fresh water pipes are all within the caravan (not under the
floor) to help protect against cold weather.
We fit a single waste outlet rather than the usual two to make your
life easier when draining waste water to your container, no more
jamming two pipes into the aperature.
The table store is next to the seats so the table doesn't have to be
lifted great distances within the caravan.
By having winding handles on the skylights you can raise, lower these
whilst having the flyscreen permanently closed stopping stray insects
entering the caravan.
In our 6 Berth, X63 models there are 3 wardrobes creating ample
storage space.
The alarm fitted to SE and SE-L models has a radar sensor instead of
a PIR enabling it to be placed out of site giving a neater interior
finish.
The sofa's are free of buttons so that clothing has nothing to catch
on and children don't play with them.
A swing-arm TV bracket is fitted in all trim levels meaning that a TV
doesn't take up any valuable surface space.
SE-L Models come fitted with Air Conditioning, Wireless Reversing
Sensors, Torino Leather Trim, Twin Awning Lights and TV/DVD as
standard.
The main lights in the bedroom are able to be turned off whilst in
bed preventing you from having to maneuvure in the dark.
